How Hamburg School Astrology Works
The technical principles behind the Uranian method.
Symmetry Principle
The 90° dial compresses the zodiac into 4 equal quadrants. Any two points equidistant from a third point form a planetary picture (midpoint). At 0° orb = exact activation.
Transneptunian Planets (TNPs)
Eight orbital points postulated by Alfred Witte and the Hamburg School. Mean orbital periods 262–740 years. Used for their interpretive and predictive value.
Midpoint Trees
A midpoint tree lists all planetary pairs whose arithmetic midpoint equals a selected point within orb. Reveals complex activation patterns invisible in the natal wheel.
Solar Arc Directions
The Sun advances ~1° per year from birth. Solar arc directions advance every natal point by the same arc — revealing when natal potentials become activated.
Planetary Pictures
